- Dietetic Technician, Registered since 2003
After growing up in a family that struggled with obesity and had poor nutritional habits, Megan was determined to avoid the health issues her family faced. She began exercising and changing her dietary habits as a teen. After high school, she became a certified personal trainer, and then earned a Dietetic Technician, Registered degree from Tarrant County Community College. After graduating, Megan worked as a clinical dietetic technician for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital HEB for nine years. At HEB, she helped pediatric through geriatric patients learn how to use nutrition to address their medical conditions and improve their wellbeing. She also helped patients at Texas Health Springwood Treatment Center use nutrition to restore the damage done through drug addition, eating disorders, and other conditions and to learn how to eat in a healthy manner.
Megan joined MaxHealth in 2011, and offers our patients convenient access to nutritional education and support for their medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, wound healing, eating disorders, drug rehabilitation) and wellness goals (weight loss, general health). Megan works closely with our primary care providers and our MaxFitness team to ensure her nutritional guidance addresses all aspects of our patients’ health treatments and exercise programs. Megan also co-leads our hCG support group, and gains great satisfaction from helping others change their lives for the better through the guidance and education she provides.
In her personal time, Megan enjoys running and doing outdoorsy activities like camping and playing at the beach with her husband and three children.
