P.A. Wilkinson received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kansas State University. She went on to earn her Emergency Medical Technician certification and cared for patients in the pre-hospital, hospital and emergency room settings. Realizing her passion for caring for people, P.A. Wilkinson pursued and completed a Physician Assistant Masters program at Albany Medical College. While completing her rotation in Family Medicine, she quickly realized the practice style of family medicine resonated with her desire to comprehensively address the needs of the patients she treated.
In 2012, P.A. Wilkinson joined Latham Medical Group in upstate New York. As a Patient Centered Medical Home, the practice, like MaxHealth, focused on delivering high quality care in a way that kept the needs of the patient front and center. She enjoyed her work but in 2015, she relocated to DFW to be closer to home. Initially, upon moving, P.A. Wilkinson provided home care visits for high-risk and home-bound patients.
Her work in primary care ignited a passion for delivering preventative care and for assisting patients in becoming active participants in their quest for health and wellness. In 2016, MaxHealth Family and Sports Medicine welcomed P.A. Wilkinson as a member of the care team family. She is excited to combine her passion for delivering patient centered care with the unique treatment options available to MaxHealth patients.
P.A. Wilkinson enjoys practicing what she preaches and stays active participating in competitive athletics. She loves being outdoors, spending time with her dog Rolo, and traveling.
