P.A. Stephanie West’s interests have always centered on health and medicine. She first earned an Environmental Health Science degree and then achieved master level education in similar studies. After marrying and having two children, P.A. West pursued her call to practice medicine by earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at the highly competitive University of North Texas Health Science Center, where she graduated with honors.
After graduation, P.A. West initially worked for the Internal Medicine Department in the Dallas VA Medical Center, where she gained invaluable experience dealing with very complicated medical issues. She joined MaxHealth in 2006 and found that she really loves practicing family medicine.
P.A. West brings vast knowledge in the areas of environmental health, nutrition and supplements. She really enjoys educating her patients on these topics to help them make proactive health and lifestyle choices that can prevent illness. She is a strong believer that outcomes are influenced by not only pharmaceuticals, but also genetics, lifestyles, personal circumstances, and even attitudes. Because of this, getting to know her patients individually is very important to her as it allows her to partner with them to address their health issues and meet their wellness goals.
Outside of her time with patients, P.A. West looks forward to family time and enjoying the outdoors—whether walking the family dogs, running or playing tennis. She also loves art and enjoys painting.
