Internal Medicine & Pediatrics

For many patients, having a good relationship with their doctor is a must, and Melinda Harrell, MD, of MaxHealth Family, Internal & Sports Medicine in Colleyville, Texas, couldn’t agree more.

Her focus on primary care allows her the remarkable privilege of developing relationships with individual patients and, in fact, entire families throughout every stage of life, from pediatric to geriatric. She has great respect and understanding of the positive influence that a strong relationship with a medical provider can have on someone’s long-term health, and it’s little wonder that her patients find her compassionate, approachable manner to be comforting and enjoyable.

A proud native Texan — Dallas born and raised — Dr. Harrell earned her bachelor of arts in Psychology at the University of Texas, Austin, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Centre, Houston. She then went on to complete a four-year dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics, earning board certifications for both in 2005.

Her caring nature extends to her family life, where she loves to spend time outside with her husband and three children, going to the theatre, and rooting for the Cowboys.
