Urgent Care

What do I do if I get sick on the weekend?

Non-life-threatening conditions can still be urgent.  No one wants to deal with discomfort or downright pain just because they happen to strike after hours, but the problem just does not warrant the time or expense of an emergency room visit either.

At MaxHealth Family, Internal, & Sports Medicine, we offer Urgent Care for conditions that need to be handled on a weekend or evening.  We can assess and treat several conditions during our Urgent Care hours, including:

  • Colds

  • Sore throats

  • Coughs

  • Pink eye

  • Ear infection

  • Minor cuts or burns

  • Sprains and strains

  • Rashes

  • Insect bites

  • Minor injuries

Urgent Care is significantly cheaper than an emergency room and does not require long hours waiting for treatment.  Insurance co-pays for urgent care are much lower than co-pays for an ER visit.

The care received in Urgent Care at MaxHealth Family, Internal, & Sports Medicine is the same individual care you would receive if you were being seen during normal business hours.  Although no appointment is needed, the extended hours make it easier for patients to schedule a visit.  Many services are available during Urgent Care hours other than just for injuries and sudden illness.  Preventative visits, flu shots, vaccinations, and well-baby checks can be obtained at a time that better fits your busy life.
